Mayor Bill Mutz of Lakeland expressed his excitement for the collaboration:

Operating twice a week using a Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft, the new flights will depart from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) on Thursdays and Sundays. To promote the launch of these flights, one-way tickets are available for as low as $72 for travel until July 31st. Travelers looking to take advantage of this offer must make their bookings by April 3rd.
Before the commencement of the new flights, the airport identified the need to enhance the security screening checkpoint and make adjustments to the parking lot, stated Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO, Andrew Levy. He expressed pride in being the sole airline serving LAL and conveyed excitement about introducing Lakeland to Avelo's affordable fares, convenient travel options, and top-notch reliability. Levy highlighted that the exclusive nonstop service will streamline travel for Connecticut visitors looking to explore Central Florida and the offerings of Lakeland.
