Officials reported a Florida man faces several charges after he walked through the Tampa airport security gate and got into a Coast Guard C-130 aircraft cockpit on July 17.
Hamilton Moreno, 36, is accused of harassing deputies on the runway at St. Pete Clearwater International Airport around 5 a.m. in a vehicle stolen the night before, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department said.
Moreno was arrested after he allegedly broke through a Coast Guard gate, parked his car in a hangar, and climbed into an empty C-130, reported in a statement.
The suspect was booked into the Pinellas County Jail for fleeing and eluding, trespassing, grand theft auto, traffic violations, burglary, and two counts of criminal mischief.
