The Outdoor Collection encompasses 2 properties: The Fields of Michigan, situated in South Haven, Michigan and Bar N Ranch, located in West Yellowstone, Montana. Both properties, recently acquired by Under Canvas, operate seasonally. The Fields of Michigan will be open from May 1 to November 2 this year, while Bar N Ranch will operate from May to October 6.
Similar to the original Under Canvas brand, The Outdoor Collection emphasizes nature-centric stays, though proximity to national parks is not a prerequisite. Guests can expect the upscale amenities synonymous with Under Canvas, including plush bedding and gourmet cuisine, alongside the iconic safari-style tents, augmented by new accommodations, such as cozy cabins and contemporary cottages.

The Fields of Michigan is a picturesque 30-acre working blueberry farm offering 23 units, ranging from a Simple Tent suitable for 2 guests to the Fields Cottage, accommodating up to 4. The safari-style field tents and cottages feature ensuite bathrooms, electricity, and firepits. Under Canvas is renowned for its exceptional on-site restaurants, and The Fields is no exception. Guests can indulge at The Willow, which specializes in dishes prepared with local produce. While The Fields is not adjacent to a national park, the area provides ample recreational opportunities, including access to Lake Michigan beaches, watersports, and hiking and biking trails.
Bar N Ranch, located in West Yellowstone, Montana, spans 200 acres of land. It's situated just 6 miles from the entrance of Yellowstone National Park, offering guests convenient access to one of the country's most popular national parks. However, the property also provides numerous on-site activities, such as horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and fly fishing in the South Fork of the Madison River. Guests may also encounter rescue horses, antelope, and foxes roaming the resort grounds. Accommodation options include cowboy-chic rooms in the lodge or private cabins with 1 to 4 bedrooms. On-site dining is available from breakfast to dinner, including craft cocktails. Similar to Under Canvas, complimentary s'mores are provided.
Nightly rates at The Fields of Michigan start at $138, and at Bar N Ranch, they begin at $296.
