States & Cities 2025-06-11 ParkingNearAirports.io

Beauty is a personal thing, sure, but some cities around the globe just have that "wow" factor. Maybe it's classic beauty, like you see in Paris, or maybe it's the exciting mix of everything happening at once, like in NYC. Some cities have kept their old buildings looking perfect, while others have amazing views of bright blue water. Lots of them have top-notch museums and great places to eat. What these 5 stunning cities share is their ability to make visitors exclaim, "Wow!" Whether you want to find a beautiful city close to home or travel somewhere really far away, here are some great places to consider.

  • Top spot for tourists: Sydney, Australia
  • Hidden gem worth discovering: Tbilisi, Georgia
  • Best for families: Singapore
  • Best for couples: Paris, France
  • Best for traveling alone: Hội An, Vietnam

This list isn't everything, of course, but think of it as a good place to start planning your next adventure.

Golden beaches or storybook charm? Where will your wanderlust take you?

  1. Sydney, Australia

Sunny Sydney just about sparkles with its harbor full of sailboats, golden beaches, green parks and gardens, and how clean everything is. Take a boat tour to see the Harbour Bridge and the famous Sydney Opera House – it's a symbol of Australia's oldest and biggest city, and even the whole continent. Go for one of the many beautiful walks along the coast and visit some truly amazing beaches. Queenscliff Beach, at the north end of the well-known Manly Beach, has a wide stretch of clean sand, waves that surfers love, a 164-foot pool built into the rocks, and a calm lagoon. You can get there by taking a nice ferry ride from Darling Harbour or Circular Quay to Manly.

  1. Tbilisi, Georgia

Even though it's not always the first place people think of, the capital of Georgia feels like something out of a storybook. Tbilisi's old town is fun to wander around, with carved wooden balconies looking over quiet little courtyards and streets made of cobblestones lined with wine bars and traditional restaurants. Stop and eat some khinkali (meat dumplings), khachapuri (Georgia's famous "cheese boat" bread) and try the local wine. Hike up or take the cable car to Narikala Fortress – it was first built way back in the 1200s, got destroyed in the 1800s, and was rebuilt in 1997 – and enjoy the views of Tbilisi and the Caucasus Mountains all around.

  1. Singapore

Singapore really hits you with all sorts of sights and sounds. Its skyline isn't just tall, modern buildings, but also these strange "supertrees," curvy glass buildings, and a Ferris wheel that's 540 feet tall. Neighborhoods like Chinatown, Kampong Glam (the Arab area), and Little India, plus an amazing street food scene, show off the city-state's mix of cultures from the past and today. Colorful food streets and hawker centers are full of stands selling everything from roasted pork rice and Malaysian fried noodles to honey lime juice and sweet icy cendol (rice flour jelly with coconut milk). Take a walk after eating along the bright waterfront of Marina Bay or in the Botanic Gardens and Gardens by the Bay (which has 2 great playgrounds).

  1. Paris, France

You just can't talk about the most beautiful cities in the world without mentioning Paris. In the City of Light, there's something around every corner that makes your heartbeat a little faster, whether it's a famous monument, a cozy little cafe on the sidewalk packed with stylish Parisians, or a grand street lined with elegant stone buildings from the Haussmann era. Everywhere you look in Paris, things are arranged beautifully, whether it's the glass cases in a pastry shop full of colorful macarons or the displays in the city's many museums.

  1. Hội An, Vietnam

Hội An is like a little jewel of a canal city on the coast and one of the prettiest places to visit in Vietnam. Its incredibly well-kept old town (a UNESCO World Heritage site) feels like it hasn't been touched by modern times. The city has over 1,000 old houses made of timber frames, as well as holy temples, pagodas, and a Japanese bridge that was built in the 1600s. One of the first things you'll notice is that a lot of the buildings are painted a rich golden yellow, and even though nobody knows for sure why this color is everywhere, it's a color that's linked to being successful and royal. Streets with lanterns hanging across them and lots of people riding bikes add even more to Hội An's beauty. Do what the locals do and go for a bike ride, or try a cooking class, a boat ride on the river, have tea at a cafe, spend a day at the beach, or get some custom-made clothes from a tailor.
