JetBlue will launch new routes to Florida and several popular Caribbean islands just in time for winter, making a warm-weather getaway to escape the cold a lot more accessible.

Starting in December, the airline will introduce new flights to Florida's Vero Beach for the first time, as well as resume service to Daytona Beach and begin new routes from Florida to the Dominican Republic, according to JetBlue. To celebrate, the airline is offering special introductory fares starting at just $49.

"Whether it's customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we're excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets," said Dave Jehn, JetBlue's vice president of network planning and airline partnerships. He added that the airline is "proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State."

Snowbirds looking to trade the cold Northeast winter for the sunny beaches of Florida have new options thanks to JetBlue's first venture into the Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB). This new daily, year-round service will fly from both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) beginning December 11. To get a great deal on parking, you can look for JFK discount parking ahead of time. The airline will also resume daily, year-round flights to the Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) from New York and Boston starting December 4.

In addition, JetBlue will add service to both Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and Tampa International Airport (TPA) from New York's Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP). Those flights will start on December 18 and December 19, respectively. These new routes will complement the airline's current service between Long Island and Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach. To save money, consider booking parking close to Tampa Airport ahead of time.

To celebrate, JetBlue is offering these new routes at low prices. Flights between Long Island and Tampa, for example, start at just $49 one-way. Booking in advance can help secure a great price. Travelers looking to head even further south can take advantage of JetBlue's new flights to the Dominican Republic. On December 13, the airline will launch daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago de los Caballeros, followed by daily service between Tampa and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on December 18.

Beyond the new flights, JetBlue also plans to expand service from Boston to Latin America and the Caribbean. The carrier will start offering daily flights on December 18 to St. Thomas, Costa Rica's Liberia, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas. JetBlue will then add a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands on December 20, along with an additional Saturday flight to Bridgetown, Barbados, starting January 10, 2026.

JetBlue stated that these routes build on the carrier's "strength as Boston's premier leisure airline and offer more non-stop options to warm-weather destinations, meeting strong demand for international getaways."

The news comes just weeks after JetBlue linked its loyalty programs with United Airlines. This collaboration, which the airlines have named Blue Sky, will allow travelers to book award flights on each carrier.
