Starting in December, JetBlue will introduce its first-ever service to Vero Beach, Florida, while also re-establishing flights to Daytona Beach. Moreover, the airline is launching new routes from Florida to the Dominican Republic. To celebrate these new offerings, JetBlue is providing enticingly low fares, with one-way tickets beginning at just $49.
In a statement, Dave Jehn, JetBlue's vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, expressed the airline's enthusiasm, stating, "Whether it's customers in the Northeast looking for a warm getaway or Floridians traveling north, we're excited to bring more choices and better service to these markets." He further added that the airline is "proud to grow our footprint with these new destinations to meet customer demand for more of the Sunshine State."
For travelers, often referred to as "snowbirds," who are eager to trade the chilly Northeast winter for the warmth of Florida's sunny beaches, JetBlue's new service to Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) will be a welcome addition. Beginning on December 11, the airline will offer daily, year-round flights from both Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). In addition, JetBlue is resuming its daily, year-round service to Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) from New York and Boston, with flights starting on December 4. This expansion provides a wealth of new options for travelers planning their winter escape.
The airline's expansion isn't limited to these new Florida destinations. JetBlue will also be adding service from New York's Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to both Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers and the Tampa International Airport (TPA). These flights are scheduled to begin on December 18 and December 19, respectively. These new routes will enhance the carrier's existing service from Long Island to popular spots like Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and West Palm Beach, providing even more connectivity within the state.

To mark these new routes, JetBlue is rolling out special introductory fares. For instance, one-way flights between Long Island and Tampa are being offered at the incredibly low price of just $49, making a spontaneous trip more affordable than ever. This is a great opportunity for travelers to save on airfare, allowing them to allocate their budget to other travel expenses, such as accommodation or even parking close to JFK Airport or BOS long-term parking options. When planning a trip, a little bit of research into airport parking prices can go a long way. For travelers flying out of JFK, for example, there are numerous options to consider, from on-site lots to off-airport parking services. Platforms like ParkingNearAirports.io specialize in finding the best deals for travelers, helping them compare prices and book secure parking spots in advance, often at a fraction of the cost of airport lots.
For those with their sights set on a more southerly destination, JetBlue's new flights to the Dominican Republic are a perfect choice. On December 13, the airline will begin daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago de los Caballeros. This will be followed by daily service between Tampa and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), starting on December 18. These new routes open up more direct access to the vibrant culture and stunning landscapes of the Caribbean.
Beyond its new flight additions, JetBlue is also expanding its service from Boston to other destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Starting December 18, the carrier will offer daily flights to St. Thomas, Liberia in Costa Rica, St. Maarten, and Nassau in the Bahamas. Further expansion is planned for December 20 with a second Saturday flight to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, and an additional Saturday flight to Bridgetown, Barbados, beginning on January 10, 2026. This extensive growth solidifies Boston's position as a key hub for the airline's international leisure travel.
JetBlue stated that these new routes are designed to capitalize on the carrier's "strength as Boston's premier leisure airline" and to provide more direct options to warm-weather destinations, thereby meeting the strong and growing demand for international getaways. This move underscores the airline's commitment to catering to the desires of its customers, particularly those in the Northeastern United States.
This news comes just weeks after JetBlue announced a strategic partnership with United Airlines, a collaboration the 2 carriers have dubbed "Blue Sky." This alliance is set to benefit travelers by allowing them to book award flights on either carrier, creating a more flexible and rewarding loyalty program experience. This move enhances the value proposition for travelers, making it easier for them to accrue and redeem miles for a wider range of flights and destinations.
