While the summer travel season may be winding down, Delta Air Lines is already helping passengers look forward with all-new exciting destinations for next summer. Savvy travelers should begin planning their logistics now, including making airport parking reservations for a stress-free departure.
On May 21, 2026, the carrier will launch a new flight to Porto, Portugal, from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), marking its first-ever flight to the coastal city. The route will use a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring Delta One business class, Delta Premium Select premium economy, and Delta Main (or economy).
This new route will complement Delta's existing service to Lisbon, which is available from both Boston and New York. This announcement follows the airline's recent decision to launch service to both Sardinia, Italy, and Malta in 2026. This expansion provides more options for travelers looking to secure the best airport parking deals for their extended European trips.
"Delta's new nonstop service from JFK to Porto is part of 7 new European routes launching next summer, giving customers even more opportunities to experience Europe and enjoy our award-winning service and premium onboard experience," stated Paul Baldoni, Delta's senior vice president of network planning. He added, "these additions expand choice for our customers and reinforce JFK's role as a leading global gateway."
Situated on the coast of northwestern Portugal, Porto is celebrated for its rich history, distinct architecture, beautiful natural surroundings ideal for hiking, and numerous art museums. The city is also a member of the Great Wine Capitals network due to its prolific vineyards and significant wine production. Visitors love exploring the city's royal palaces and observation decks that offer incredible, sweeping views, along with indulging in the local culinary specialties.

These expansion plans align with Delta's partnership with private aviation company Wheels Up, which offers passengers flying Delta One into several European cities the choice of boarding a private flight to complete their journey after their commercial flight.
