Roam by Tauck is expanding its luxury small-group offerings to a dozen global itineraries for 2027, introducing 7 new land, river, and small-ship cruise options.

These new trips are currently open for booking and span destinations, such as Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Mozambique, Switzerland, Italy, and California. Initially launched in 2025 during Tauck's centennial, the brand focuses on curated small-group travel for explorers in their 40s and 50s.

CEO Jennifer Tombaugh noted that travel advisors are seeing strong interest for 2027 from a new generation of travelers looking for inexpensive airport parking before heading off to recharge. She stated that these journeys combine deep cultural immersion with high-end accommodations and the flexibility to explore independently, all backed by the company's long-standing expertise.

The expansion includes a 12-day New Zealand adventure featuring jet boat rides in Shotover canyons and helicopter flights over Queenstown. In addition, a 10-day Japanese tour through Tokyo and Kyoto offers private visits to the Kiyomizu-dera temple and stays at premier properties like the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi, though travelers should check the price for parking if driving to their local departure hub.

New European highlights feature a week in Florence and Tuscany involving vintage Fiat 500 drives and truffle hunting, alongside a Swiss journey from Bern to Zermatt. This Alpine trip includes a private look inside Bern's Zytglogge clock tower, e-biking, and an ascent to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

In the United States, a new six-day Northern California itinerary has been introduced, featuring a tasting tour of San Francisco's Ferry Building, private Napa wine tastings, and bioluminescent kayaking on Tomales Bay.

Starting at $7,490 per person based on double occupancy, these 2027 trips include lodging, transfers, luggage handling, tips, and scheduled activities. To ensure a smooth start to the journey, many guests choose to finalize their airport reservation well in advance of their departure date.

Well-known for its established presence in the river cruise industry, Tauck continues to provide a diverse range of land tours, safaris, and small-ship ocean voyages.
