A growing budget airline company, Sun Country Airlines, which offers reasonable fares and charges extra for carry-on luggage and advance seat assignments, is planning to add flights between its Minneapolis hub and seven new cities next spring, including first flights to Vancouver, Canada.
The new destinations, which will expand Sun Country's lineup to 80 airports in the United States, Mexico, Central America, Canada, and the Caribbean, are the following:
- Vancouver, Canada;
- Burlington, Vermont;
- Buffalo, New York;
- Charleston, South Carolina;
- Jacksonville, Florida;
- Pittsburgh;
- Spokane, Washington.
All the flights begin in June, apart from the flights to Charleston and Jacksonville - they'll start in early April. Sun Country, like most other budget airline companies, won't offer service every day on new routes. Instead, flights will be offered twice a week, in most cases on Thursdays and Sundays.
As for the ticket costs, the airline provides introductory one-way fares starting at $69 to $99 if you book them on Sun Country's official website.
Besides, Sun Country reported it would resume flights next spring to three destinations from Minneapolis: New Orleans, Milwaukee, and Savannah, Georgia. However, it won't renew its seasonal flights between Minneapolis and Austin, Texas, and Madison, Wisconsin and Seattle.
