An agreement to supply up to 100 new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to US low-cost airline Allegiant has been signed with Boeing, the airline's press service said on January 5.
The deal includes the delivery of 50 Boeing 737-7s and 737-8-200s in 2023 and the possibility of purchasing 50 additional aircraft in 2024 and 2025.
The airline currently operates 108 used Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
The company believes the new aircraft will burn about 20 percent less fuel than the older Airbus A320 aircraft, offering increased capacity at the same time.
