In order to expand its operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport over the coming years, United Airlines (Nasdaq: UAL) is introducing more upscale amenities there.
The brand-new United Club of United will debut on September 27th in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport's Terminal 3. There will be 122 seats in the 6,080-square-foot club, a large bar, multiple food options, and a wellness space.

McMillan also said the following:
"That's why we doubled the size of the club. We built it bigger since we anticipated that we would expand over the next few years."
United intends to increase Sky Harbor's capacity there by 80% through 2026. Phoenix is United's fifth-busiest line station at the moment, and it's the fourth-largest carrier currently using Sky Harbor.
In addition to having more passengers at Sky Harbor in the foreseeable future, the Chicago-based airline is also noticing a tremendous demand for upscale goods like the United Lounge.
"It's a high-end product that's now in high demand. Our customers really enjoy being able to use our clubs and lounges after Covid-19. Clients continue to use our lounges whether they're traveling for work or pleasure, and we have noticed a lot of leisure traffic. We're glad to welcome them in."
Also, according to McMillan, United is selling a record amount of day passes to its clubs and lounges across its network.
The United Club in Phoenix was created to have a distinct Phoenix and Arizona atmosphere, and local artists Carolina Caples and Blaise Danio contributed their artwork to the space. According to Danio, when huge corporations like United strive to give their locations a more local flavor, it has increased opportunities for local artists and added to the distinctiveness of these spaces.
McMillan finally highlighted:
"What we've done in Phoenix is somewhat more reflective of the new approach we're bringing to the layout of our clubs. Having their design provides a little bit more of a local flavor. They aren't prefabricated."
