The airline has announced that it'll commence daily service between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) and Tampa International Airport (TPA) on October 26th. The flights will be operated using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft during the winter season.
This new route will complement Delta's existing seasonal service between the Dutch city and nearby Orlando. In addition, the airline maintains year-round flights to Amsterdam from various US cities, including Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, New York, Portland, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.
Matteo Curcio, Delta's senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, stated that by seamlessly connecting Amsterdam's vibrant international hub, which is Delta's most-served airport in Europe, with the renowned beaches of the Tampa Bay area, the airline is offering customers a gateway to explore the best of Europe and America. Curcio further emphasized that with Delta's premium amenities and extensive global network, travelers will have a lot to enjoy during the winter travel season.

Each Tampa-bound flight will feature Delta's premium cabin offerings, including Delta One with lie-flat beds and bedding made from recycled plastic bottles, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
Delta is also expanding its international network beyond Amsterdam. The airline will reinstate non-stop flights from New York to Nigeria starting December 1st, increase non-stop service to Venice, and launch new service to Australia.
In addition to Delta's direct flights, Florida travelers can access Europe through Delta's SkyTeam partners. This includes flights from Miami to Paris on Air France-KLM, flights from Miami, Orlando, and Tampa to London on Virgin Atlantic, and flights from Orlando to Manchester on Virgin Atlantic.
Moreover, Delta is revamping its boarding group system, transitioning to a number-based approach to streamline the boarding process.
