The new routes will take the airline to destinations, such as Costa Rica and Los Cabos, as well as winter destinations like Reno for access to the Lake Tahoe ski resorts, according to the airline. The majority of these new routes will be seasonal, with the first one launching on December 3rd from Fresno to Guadalajara.

Kirsten Amrine, the Vice President of Network Planning and Revenue Management at Alaska Airlines, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating the following:

"We'll provide convenient connections for guests across the airline's network, whether they're checking destinations off their bucket lists or heading to their favorite winter getaways. The range of options includes tropical destinations across Mexico, as well as the most popular ski slopes in North America."

On December 20th, Alaska Airlines will begin flying from San Diego and Seattle to Vail, Colorado. These new routes will operate 3 times a week until March 16th, 2025. In addition, the airline is launching other new routes to popular ski destinations, such as Los Angeles to Kelowna, British Columbia, and San Diego to Reno, starting on December 19th.

Alaska Airlines is also introducing new flights to warm-weather destinations across the country. These include routes between Boise and Santa Ana, year-round starting December 19th, as well as between Sacramento and Boise, and between Sacramento and Orlando, starting on January 6th and 7th, respectively.

Moreover, the airline is expanding its international offerings by introducing new non-stop service between San Francisco and Liberia, Costa Rica, and between Seattle and Liberia, Costa Rica. Both of these routes will operate once a week, starting on December 21st.

Alaska Airlines is also expanding its service to Mexico, including the launch of the only direct flight between New York City and Puerto Vallarta, starting on January 8th. The airline is also adding more flights between Sacramento and Los Cabos.

In June, Alaska Airlines was one of the most on-time US airlines. The airline has recently introduced a paid subscription service that offers discounts on Wi-Fi and early access to sales. In addition, the airline is rewarding customers this summer by selecting one lucky main cabin passenger every day through September 2nd and offering them a complimentary upgrade to premium class.
