As the summer travel season is in full swing, one major airline is already looking ahead and planning enhancements for the upcoming ski season.
Delta Air Lines announced that it'll be operating its largest-ever flight schedule to popular ski destinations starting this year. The Atlanta-based carrier will be increasing the frequency of flights or introducing new service to several ski hotspots, including Aspen, Bozeman, Jackson Hole, Montrose/Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Sun Valley, and Vail.
Here's what Joe Esposito, Delta's Senior Vice President of Network Planning, shared in a statement about the new service:
"With our latest winter schedule, customers will have more choices than ever, with up to 190 weekly flights to the places our customers want to fly to most, all while enjoying the premium services and amenities that our customers have come to expect."
In Los Angeles, Delta will be reinstating daily flights to Bozeman, Montana, Vail, Colorado, and Saturday flights to Sun Valley, Idaho. These new flights will complement the existing daily flights to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Aspen, Colorado.

Delta is enhancing its service to Bozeman, Montana, adding a second daily flight from Atlanta. This expanded connectivity will also provide access to various Colorado ski destinations, including Aspen, Vail, Steamboat Springs, and Montrose/Telluride.
Many popular ski towns have become year-round attractions, drawing hikers and outdoor enthusiasts during the summer months. Delta offers daily, year-round service to Aspen and Bozeman, allowing travelers to conveniently access these sought-after locations.
Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 ski season, Delta's flight schedule will feature 10% more seat capacity compared to the previous year. This increase aligns with the growing interest in skiing and winter sports.
The 2022-2023 ski season was the fifth-best on record, with 60.4 million outdoor enthusiasts visiting nearby slopes or exploring new ski destinations, according to a recent report from the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA).
