Cirium, a company that analyzes aviation data, has shared its monthly data on the most punctual airline and airport.

Last month, Delta had an on-time rate of 80.9 percent. This was a big improvement from July when the airline struggled to recover from the CrowdStrike IT issue. In July, Delta had to cancel nearly 6,500 flights, leading to an on-time rate of just 72.36 percent.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the world's busiest airport and a major hub for Delta, also saw an improvement in on-time performance in August. The airport's on-time rate was 79.28 percent, compared to just 63.94 percent in July.
The report stated that the North America region bounced back in August. This improvement shows the recovery from the Crowdstrike IT event.
United Airlines had the 2nd-highest on-time rate at 78.38 percent. Southwest Airlines was 3rd with an on-time rate of 78.17 percent.
Alaska Airlines was 4th in the rankings, with 76.64% of their flights arriving on time. This was lower than their July rate of 77.51%. American Airlines was 5th, with an on-time rate of 74.08%.
Atlanta's airport saw a big improvement. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) had the highest on-time rate among US airports, with 81.48% of flights leaving on time. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) was second, with an on-time rate of 80.89%.
In the global rankings, Mexico had a great month. Aeromexico was the most on-time airline, and Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX) was the most on-time airport in the world.
