If you hold an
Travelers passing through Las Vegas will soon discover an elegantly new space for relaxation, as American Express plans to unveil Sidecar – a distinctive speakeasy-style lounge at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) – in early 2026. Once operational, American Express will stand as the sole credit card issuer boasting 2 lounges at LAS.
"Many of our visitors spend less than an hour in our lounges, and we've designed Sidecar specifically with them in mind," Hendley articulated in the statement. "The inaugural Centurion Lounge opened in Las Vegas, so it's fitting that we're introducing this novel lounge concept at LAS as we persistently innovate to cater to our Card Members' evolving needs."
Access will be complimentary for card members who already benefit from Centurion Lounge entry, and visitors will be permitted into Sidecar within 90 minutes of their flight's scheduled departure.
American Express also revealed a collaboration with acclaimed James Beard Award-winning Resy chefs Mashama Bailey, Sarah Grueneberg, Kwame Onwuachi, and Mike Solomonov, alongside celebrated Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg, to establish the Culinary Collective by the Centurion Lounge. This collective will craft a menu of dishes and bespoke cocktails drawing inspiration from their renowned restaurants, with these new culinary offerings becoming available across all 15 Centurion Lounges in the United States starting July 29.

Certain recipes will also be featured at the new, intimate airport lounge, Sidecar by the Centurion Lounge, at LAS. Eligible card members with limited time will have the opportunity to quickly grab a gourmet small plate or a signature drink, all curated by the Culinary Collective by the Centurion Lounge, within this unique speakeasy-style setting.
"We understand how much Card Members value the food and drinks at the Centurion Lounges, and we're eager to showcase what's next. With the invaluable assistance of our Resy chef partners, we've assembled some of America's most exciting culinary talents to create exceptional menus, now accessible in one place for the very first time," Audrey Hendley, President of American Express Travel, conveyed in a statement. "While visiting each of their celebrated restaurants nationwide might be a challenge, guests at our Centurion Lounges will now have the chance to sample dishes conceived by these distinguished chefs."
The fresh, curated menus from the Culinary Collective by the Centurion Lounge will feature numerous dishes that rotate seasonally, alongside offerings inspired by the local cuisine of the lounge's specific city. Individual dish selections will vary from one lounge location to another.
"The Culinary Collective by the Centurion Lounge is profoundly inspiring and functions exceptionally well because each chef, and American Express, upholds a shared philosophy. We all prioritize food quality, innovation, and diverse flavors – these are the core tenets of this collaboration," Mike Solomonov, one of the collective's contributing chefs, remarked in a statement.
The Centurion Lounge serves as American Express' flagship lounge program, forming part of the extensive American Express Global Lounge Collection, which grants complimentary access to an impressive total of over 1,550 lounges spanning 140 countries.
