American Airlines recently disclosed plans to inaugurate a new non-stop route linking Vero Beach Regional Airport (VRB) with its critical second-largest hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), with service launching on February 12, 2026. This pivotal development will, for the first time, grant Vero Beach travelers direct access to American's expansive global network via Charlotte, offering passengers a broad selection of connections both domestically and internationally. This newly added flight is scheduled to operate every day, maintaining service throughout the entire year. The route will be serviced by American Eagle's dedicated subsidiary, PSA Airlines, utilizing a Bombardier CRJ-900 regional jet. For American Airlines, this new route adds another strategic location to its extensive Florida service map, where the airline already holds the position as the largest carrier based on daily departures (a standing largely secured by its major hub operation in Miami).
