U.S. airline passengers arriving in Cuba must have documents confirming they're fully vaccinated against Covid-19. The Civil Aviation Institute of Cuba (IACC) announced this in a statement, the Granma newspaper reported on November 27th.
IACC President Armando L. Daniel Lopez said such measures have been approved by the Cuban government and the country's health ministry and will apply only to U.S. airlines. Other airlines can come to Cuba with negative PCR tests if they don't have a vaccination certificate.
Carmelo Trujillo Machado, head of the Department of International Health Control in the Ministry of Health, said people arriving from the United States must have proof of complete vaccination with any vaccines that the countries' regulatory authorities have approved. The exceptions are children under the age of 12 and those who have a confirmed medical exemption from vaccination.
