The cheapest flights from the New York tri-state area are to Florida. United Airlines operates flights from its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), offering round-trip flights to Tampa for $285, West Palm Beach for $291, Miami for $312, and Orlando for $327.
From United's hub in Houston, TX, travelers can visit Dallas for $147, New Orleans for $205, or Phoenix for $249.
From Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), travelers can fly round-trip to Las Vegas for under $200 and enjoy the various events happening over the holiday weekend, including performances by Dead & Company at the new MSG Sphere, Blink-182 at the T-Mobile Arena, Rüfüs Du Sol at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, and Lady Gaga at Park MGM.
Additional travel options from LAX include round-trip flights to San Francisco and Phoenix, each priced at $137.
All of these flight deals are available while supplies last, and the discounted fares fall under United's basic economy class of service. This means your ticket only includes a personal item like a purse or backpack, and you won't be able to bring a carry-on bag. However, the map feature on United's website has a "travel interests" filter that allows you to select the type of trip you're interested in, whether it's beaches, hiking, golf, national parks, or scuba diving.
