This will allow travelers to explore Iceland and other parts of Europe during the shoulder season when temperatures are cooler, and destinations are less crowded.

Play, the airline, first started operating flights in Europe in 2021 before launching its inaugural flight from the United States the following year. The airline employs a "hub-and-spoke model" where all flights connect through Reykjavik before continuing on to various destinations across Europe.
Play serves more than two dozen European cities with its fleet.
As an ultra-low-cost carrier, Play charges passengers for additional services, such as checked bags, food, and drinks, on a per-flight-leg basis. The airline operates an Airbus fleet, including the A320 and A321neo aircraft.
