"In the summer of 2025, American will launch 5 brand new routes to help our customers reach their favorite outdoor destinations," the airline announced in a statement. "From easy access to stunning glaciers, incredible wildlife, and one-of-a-kind natural landscapes, travelers making their New Year's plans will have more options to experience the great outdoors – from Nova Scotia all the way to Montana."
The carrier will introduce Saturday-only seasonal service on 5 completely new routes:
- Chicago (ORD) to/from Halifax (YHZ): June 21 to Oct. 24
- Dallas (DFW) to/from Québec City (YQB): Aug. 9 to Nov. 1
- New York (LGA) to/from Calgary (YYC): June 7 to Aug. 30
- New York (LGA) to/from Bozeman (BZN): June 7 to Aug. 30
- New York (LGA) to/from Kalispell (FCA): June 7 to Aug. 30
American Airlines will be operating new routes with different aircraft. The first 2 routes will use their fleet of Embraer E175 planes in a 2-2 economy configuration. All the flights from New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) will use larger Boeing 737 MAX8 planes. American Airlines will be the only airline running service on these new routes.
There will be more non-stop flights to Bozeman than ever before during the summer 2025 season. Delta Air Lines and JetBlue also offer non-stop flights between New York's JFK Airport and Bozeman. United Airlines provides service from Newark Airport (EWR) with more frequent flights during peak summer. American's new service from LaGuardia may be the most convenient option for most New Yorkers.
In 2025, many new flights to Canada will start up for the first time. Smaller cities like Tampa, Raleigh, and Nashville will get non-stop service to Vancouver through Air Canada. Smaller Canadian airlines like Porter and Flair will also provide connections to US cities, operating out of Toronto and Alberta.
