- Big airports like Nashville, Charlotte, Detroit, Dallas, and Baltimore/Washington are seeing major route expansions.

Commencing in May, Spirit Airlines will significantly broaden its existing route map by incorporating 37 new routes, building upon the recent announcement of adding Chattanooga and Columbia to its service locations. These new flight paths are currently available for booking through Spirit's official website.
"We regularly assess our network and proactively identify new avenues to offer our valued guests convenient, non-stop service at exceptional value. As part of this ongoing strategy, we are introducing nearly 40 new routes to our network, commencing this May. These new flight options will provide our guests with more high-value opportunities to explore diverse destinations while experiencing Spirit's enhanced travel offerings and improved guest experience," stated a Spirit Airlines representative in a press release.
Nashville will see 9 new Spirit destinations added to its roster, including Baltimore/Washington International, Cleveland, Charlotte, Orlando, Milwaukee, Myrtle Beach, Chicago, San Antonio, and Tampa. Baltimore/Washington International will gain new direct connections to Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago, Raleigh-Durham, San Antonio, and Charleston.

Travelers departing from Dallas will now have additional economical options to Indianapolis, Raleigh-Durham, and Louisville. Similarly, Atlanta will gain a new route to Louisville. Spirit customers in Charlotte will benefit from new direct flights to Detroit, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia, while Columbus will see a new route to Newark.
The expansion also encompasses new international services, with New Orleans gaining a route to Comayagua International Airport (XPL) in Honduras, alongside a new connection to Raleigh-Durham. Residents of North Carolina will also gain a direct flight to Newark.

Other airports slated to receive new routes from Spirit Airlines include Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Indianapolis International Airport (IND), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
